We are specialists in the cash flow finance business - so we know what represents good security. We do not want to have to go through the painful process of putting a transaction together and then be made to jump through hoop after hoop after hoop for a credit guy who then turns around at the last minute and says NO! Unfortunately we have all been through that painful process - that is the perfect way to lose business.
We are former lenders so we know the frustrations, and the classic conflict of sales versus credit. If there is a difficult deal which may have some “hairs” on it we will always aim to be up front with all the information we have gleaned from the client. In the majority of cases we will put together a credit paper for quick review by your credit guys if it is a marginal transaction - so that we can minimise the wasted time - for you, our clients, their advisers and us.
We understand that different lenders will have different risk appetites - and we respect that. If it is transaction that is not appropriate for you - then please tell us - and we can move on to a different lender. A fast NO! gives us the opportunity to place the transaction elsewhere, thereby fulfilling our objective of looking after our clients' needs.
