Financing the purchase of a business can be very difficult, especially given the current market conditions and the credit crunch - but opportunities are still there. However, Banks and other Institutions are not "throwing around" money like they used to, to help fund acquisitions. Now it is a question of the institutions actually having the money to lend and then choosing to lend it to you (see our video on the credit crunch and its effect upon small business in Australia in Our Learning Centre).
Whilst the lenders are cautious with the clever structuring of lending - through the use of Asset Based Lending (where all assets of the target company and your own company are geared up increasingly) and vendor finance (ie deferred consideration), we can still structure deals that seek to minimise the amount of equity required to fund a business purchase. It will be tight and it won't be easy but there are still pockets of lenders out there who are interested in helping - if the deal is good.
Whilst we specialise in raising working capital finance - most notably :
- Debtor finance (factoring and invoice discounting)
- Stock finance.
- Asset Based lending and
- Acquisition Finance
As necessary, we can also call upon specialists within the Cash Stream Financial network (a group of hand picked, specialist brokers) who can provide us with assistance in financing specific assets (eg boats, printing equipment, lo-doc residential and commercial property etc etc ) required to help fund an acquisition. In a nutshell - we will use every angle we can to ensure a sensible financing deal can be structured.
The key areas in our web-site we believe you will find most relevant will be :

Tools - here we have created calculators for you to work out the annual costs of debtor finance and the cost benefit analysis of stock finance and debtor finance. Within the same section we also have a basic credit assessment tool for debtor finance (no data is stored).
