We saw earlier how the Solar Rebate Programme can present negative cashflow.....so lets look at the funding initiative we have PROACTIVELY developed with our commercial lending partners to specifically help Solar Panel Installers. Let see how it works:

Key Points to Notice:

  • Your customer has been pre-approved for the Solar Rebate Programme .
  • They sign an order with you, pre-paying a deposit for their portion of the installation
  • The installation is carried out and the signed installation report is prepared for submission to the Federal Government for payment.
  • Under the payee details within the installation report the factoring company's banking details are inserted.
  • At the same time the signed installation report is sent to the Federal Government the same information is sent to our partner Factoring Companies *.
  • The Factoring Company releases up to 80% of the grant rebate application - i.e. up to $6,400
  • You pay your subcontractors (1 week) and your PV suppliers (within 4 weeks - you might even be able to get a settlement discount from paying early - to help offset the costs of the facility)
  • The Government pays the Factoring Company in 10 weeks rather than yourselves.
  • Once the Factoring Company receives the cash from the Government, the remaining 20% balance of the rebate is returned to you (less the Factoring companies charges of course).

This means you can now aggressively target installations and expand your activities safe in the knowledge that each grant rebate application can be funded ......
